Audience Feedback- The Magazine

Questions we asked:

We asked Louise (the protagonist) and Megan to give us feedback on our short film idea, here are their thoughts:

What do you think of the use of the film poster as an element of our film making it a key aspect?

Louise: I really liked how you could see that the magazine was a key part of the film and how in the film my outfit linked to the film poster so it was like I was being followed in the film. Looked really good.

Megan: It was quite clever but because the film isn't finished I don't think you'd be able to tell that 'The Magazine' is the film poster until it actually comes out. Then it can be really effective and work well.

We showed you a clip of some our footage from when Louise was transformed into a different character. Do you think the transition was obvious from a 'normal' girl to somebody famous?

Louise: The use of the fur coat was effective as it showed me looking more glamorous and carrying the bags also gave the impression that I had money. Although I don't think it was that obvious as I could've just been shopping.

Megan: I think it could have been made more obvious by the use of people following her around, like Louise said it looks like she's just been shopping.

What do you think of the title 'The Magazine'? Does it comply to short film features?

Louise: It definitely makes you be intrigued by the title as you don't really know what it means. I don't think it complies to short film features though as there is no enigma or suspense, I'm not feeling completely shocked but it does link in well with the poster.

Megan: It is a good title because it links in well with the poster but I wouldn't expect a short film poster to be called that.
